A very common English mistake made by Spanish speakers is the confusion between fun and  funny.

Common English mistake
“I had a funny time at the Black Eyed Peas concert.”

Why is it wrong?
The adjective funny means humorous, causing laughter and might be translated into Spanish as gracioso or chistoso.

The adjective fun, on the other hand, means causing amusement, a good time.

Correct usage
A good joke is funny. Eddie Murphy is funny.

Playing soccer is fun.  Going to the movies is fun.
